Around 500 million to 1.8 billion pairs of jeans end up in landfills annually, contributing significantly to the over 90 million tons of textile waste generated by the fashion industry each year. While over 6 billion pairs are produced annually, a large percentage are never worn or are quickly discarded.... We did our part to make sure some jeans did not end up in a landfill.
